Theissue turned out to be an air lock in the HPFP, Matt used a small vacuum pump on the return from the HPFP to draw fuel through, once the air was out of the HPFP he reconnected to the filter and the engine started no problem, the relief was palpable! Its very difficult/ impossible to diagnose such issues without having the car. Down to the problem, 85K miles seems low to experience DMF issues, and indeed clutch issues in general, apart from possibly release bearing issues. Exceptions would be if the car has covered the mileage via. mostly frequent short local runs.
Turnthe ending off, restart and it clears. The engine light comes on but again after some times this goes off. Had a guy look at it and got this: 7286 (P256300) Charge pressure adjuster, position sensor implausible signal. Static fault. 7384 (P029900) Charge pressure control value below control limit. Sporadic fault.
