The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, scheduled to release on January 19, 2024, is about more than giving fans a better-looking version of the game. TLoU2 on the PS4 still looks and runs great, and ifThe Remaster retails for $20 and often goes for $10, and there aren't too many differences between the two versions. There are many differences between the two versions. The remake is absolutely the best way to play the game. But it isn't worth paying upwards of $40-50 more for the improvements, at least in my opinion. Even if it's not great, its definitely worth taking a look yourself just so you can potentially understand the heavy criticisms of it. Basically, yeah the gameplay feels way smoother than TLOU1, but honestly even for story I'd say it's worth a single playthrough just to understand what people like and/or dislike about it. This game subverts our expectations twice. First when Joel brutally dies in the beginning because it caught us off guard, it was very early, and it was very brutal. But even with this we knew where the game was going. It became a revenge game, we were ready to take control of Ellie and go on a killing spree ending with us hopefully murdering Abby.
Last of us 1 was a masterpiece, it was an emotional story about two great characters. Last of us 2 in comparison ( just as great in my opinion) is dark, gritty and extremely tense. the tone of the game is way more mature and represents the characters experiencing way more complex emotions. Its a beautiful game, just be ready for it to be DIFFERENT.
Dec 25, 2023. This game is a masterpiece The graphics, the storyline, the gameplay, everything is revolutionary. The game is a rollercoaster of emotions and ends with an slap in the face. People are hating this game because the story is out of the mainstream frame and can’t handle the decisions of the storywriters.
